Risk Conference, hosted by Moody's Corporation and New York University
Stern School of Business' Salomon Center, brought together leading
academic experts and market practitioners for a variety of panels and
discussions regarding recent advances in credit risk research. More
than 340 people attended the conference, held May 16 - 17.
Highlights from the conference included keynote speakers Timothy
F. Geithner, President, Federal Reserve Bank of New York and Myron S.
Scholes, Nobel Laureate and Chairman, Oak Hill Platinum Partners, both
discussed various issues and advancements in the credit risk world.
Mr. Geithner spoke about credit derivatives and the economy in a
session moderated by Thomas F. Cooley, Dean, NYU Stern School of
Business. Dr. Scholes discussed issues in the evolution of credit
markets and credit derivatives with moderator Roger M. Stein, of
Moody's Investors Service.
